Business Strategy & Planning

Most owners don’t lack ideas. They lack a short list everyone agrees on. We turn what is in your head into a one-page plan, quarterly priorities and numbers you can check every month.

What’s included

A team member writing three quarterly priorities on a whiteboard while two colleagues work at a table

What’s included

The work, specifically.

01

Owner and leadership interviews

Structured conversations with you and your key people to surface where the business is really going and what is quietly in the way.

02

Market and competitor review

A plain-language look at your customers, pricing position and the local competitors you actually lose work to.

03

Three-year picture, one-year plan

A realistic three-year destination broken into a twelve-month plan with revenue, margin and headcount targets.

04

Quarterly priorities

Three to five priorities each quarter, each with an owner, a deadline and a definition of done.

05

Scorecard of leading indicators

Ten to fifteen weekly numbers that tell you early whether the plan is on track.

06

Quarterly planning sessions

Facilitated half-day sessions to review results, reset priorities and keep the plan alive.

  2. Diagnose

A written summary of strengths, constraints and the few decisions that matter most.

?Questions

Strategy & Planning: common questions

How long does the first plan take?

Most first plans take four to six weeks from kickoff, including interviews, a financial review and two working sessions with you and your leadership team.

Do I need a leadership team for this to work?

No. Many of our clients are owners with a handful of employees. The plan scales to who is in the room; the discipline is the same.

Will this tie to my financials?

Yes. Targets are built from your actual numbers and linked to the budget, so you can see each month whether the plan is paying for itself.
